Drinking this from my Arrogant Bastard glass that says, "fizzy yellow beer is for wussies." How ironic. Hofbräu München Original is a fizzy yellow beer. Here’s the verdict: it doesn’t pack a punch. Nothing stands out. Nothing about it makes me want to drink more. Smells like hay/bread. Small white head that turns into a fine ring around the glass. Doesn’t taste like much. Reminds me of Miller Lite but a bit thicker. "A Munich beer with character." I beg to differ. It’s a Munich beer, but it lacks character. I’ll probably finish the glass, but I won’t enjoy it very much.
Refreshing German beer that combines with Brazil. Accompanied a Currywurst. nephirem (539) - CROATIA - JUL 14, 2017
Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour with two finger frothy white head. Medium lasting, pretty good lacing. Pleasant nose, grains and hops, slightly tart.
Medium body, average carbonation, slightly soft even. Average texture. Pleasantly bittersweet taste with slight tart notes. Aroma is medium malty, grainy, touch of grassy hops. Slight corn. Herbal. Slight acidity towards the finish. Finishes slightly bitter and somewhat peppery.
Overall, decent brew. Nothing extraordinary but pretty good thirst quencher. Good. rosskyle (720) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 8, 2017

Pretty light and creamy as a good German lager should be, however nothing extra special. Not a lot that sets it apart from other similar beers.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2017 Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, some bready malts, slight corn and subtle earthy hops. Taste of grain, some bready malts, slight corn, a hint of grass and subtle earthy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, bready malt bitterness in the finish. A very dry, slightly corny German helles. Below average compared to others I’ve had recently. bobroman (1169) - Torun, POLAND - MAY 31, 2017
Weak malty aroma. Small head disappearing to durable layer. Clear golden colour. Sweet malty taste with minimal bitterness. lesifflebiere (1887) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 29, 2017
Aroma is grains, malty, bready, earthy hops, sweet, metallic. Appearance is golden amber, off white head, clear. Taste is malty, sweet grains, earthy hops, bready, wheat, good. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, bready earthy hop aftertaste. Overall, it’s pretty enjoyable and refreshing. saintbase (681) - Bydgoszcz, POLAND - MAY 18, 2017
