En weissbier, men mörk! Ingen fantastisk upplevelse, men lättsam med en tydlig skumbananton.

Aroma: cloves and roasted dark malts, weak banana. Appearance: hazy golden-amber color and creamy head. Taste: roasted notes, cloves, watery, rather flat. Palate: low body and medium carbonation. Overall: An average dunkelweizen, should be more intensive.

Bottle. Nice appearance with lastng foam. Aroma is ripe bananas and yeast mostly. Taste is less bananas and more wheat and yeast. Notes of roasted also. A decent beer.

Aroma of fresh bread with a hint of banana, the taste at first was surprisingly reminiscent of wasabi. Sweet, but a bit weak, it’s quite pleasant anyway. The colour is a crystal redish brown and the head is so creamy, thick and persistent, it simply looks delicious. Would be better with a bit higher abv in my opinion, but quite good anyway.

50cl bottle from Viking Pub at Viking XPRS. Pours almost clear brown (at least it ended up like that when the girl in the bar did it) with a medium, beige head. Wheat and banana with hints of dark fruits, yeast and malt. Fruity with a light acidity. Fairly refreshing and easy to drink.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2016 Barwa ciemna. Piana znika dosyć szybko. W smaku i aromacie bardzo przyzwoicie ale bez rewelacji.

Spicy floral aroma in a light brown pour. Laid back hop balance with a spicy banana bread body and clean finish.

Bottle at Munich airport. Cloudy reddish brown chestnut colour, slightly off-white foam. Pretty solid effort, some grainy wheat, hints of more sweet caramelly flavour, tiniest hint of toasty but not quite roasty, and fruity banana yeastiness. Drinks smoothly, nice.

The beers produced by Hofbrua tend to have much fame but not the best beers of Bavaria. I usually disappointing. This, without being fantastic, but I found the mediocre, like many of this producer. Style is probably one of my favorite German. Repeat.

Pours opaque dark brown from the bottle and leaves a rich, creamy head. Aroma is bread, banana, caramel. The malty, roasted flavors dominate the taste up front, while the finish trends yeasty. Some sourness. Overall mild and uneventful. Body is lighter than most dark Weizens. Okay.
