UPDATED: SEP 22, 2007 My favorite beer in the world! It was my first trip to HB Munich while stationed in Bavaria. My buddy knew German and ordered for me, knowing my taste in beer. He was spot on! The beer was served in a Litre stein, and was the same color as Dr. Pepper. The head was a light chocolate brown which matched its aroma. The flavor was perfectly balanced with a smokiness I haven’t tasted since.

A weisse beer of really exceptional quality. Well worth the effort to find.

Lovely dunkelweizen with the characteristic candy bananas as this mixes nicely against a light burned maltyness. Near perfect!

Really nice beer, mm . Purchased at Mexicali Wal-Mart for about 3.75 dlls a 500 ml bottle. Really nice after a exhausting week at Friday night.welll has some subtle-orange tones in body as well as a wheat flavor the malts arent as roasted as a schwarzbier. The aroma is fruity and sweet with some clove, the body its hazy light-brown the palate it pretty clovy and there isnt any hop presence at all. GOOD

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 Best when poured at the Hofbrauhaus in Munchen. I am particularly fond of this style, which is why I rate it so highly. Nice caramel notes, wonderful appearance and very drinkable.

From Hipercor. In Bavaria’s wheat glass. Perfect foam. Smooth and long-lasting. Great aroma and good taste. This brewery becomes an unexpected favourite of mine. Plenty of nasty sediments at the bottom spoil an otherwise great brew
