500ml Brown Bottle: Pours a hazy yellow with a huge, rocky head that lasts... Aromas of fruit- typical weizen aromas, if a bit subdued. The flavor is mild, with the typical flavors of the style. Not bad... having said that I think this is very underrated, and while not the best I’m not sure why it is so poorly rated.

Bottle, 0.5l. Hazy orange pour with medium sized, thick and creamy white head. Poor head retention and ok lacing. Smell is typical hefe, lots of yeast, notes of banana, slightly herbal. Thin body, highly carbonated. Texture is thin and watery, which is a bit disappointing. Lingering between sweet and sour. Aroma of yeast, wheat, clove, hay. Herbal and grassy. Faint caramel and cardboard in the aftertaste. Overall, textbook generic hefe. Not bad although a bit watery. Ok.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2016 Barwa jasna.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2016 (bottle) Sampled at Gee’s Oktoberfest last month. A decent Hefeweizen. No doubt the distance traveled in the bottle, pasteurization and time, did not improve the flavor. I’m sure this would be much better in the Deutschland!
