355ml bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Very thick head quickly dissipated. Minimal lacing. Straw yellow color, rather hazy, lots of slowly rising bubbles. Scent of banana but not overpowering. Taste has both banana and citrus, slightly bitter on the finish. Smooth and flavorful, definitely a session beer. Glad I have a six-pack, certainly beats Coors or Bud for watching Daytona 500! merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - JUL 1, 2014

The Hefe was definitely the best of the five beers I tasted on draft at the Hofbrauhaus in Rosemont, outside of Chicago. You can’t really get any more authentic German Hefe than this. A true classic. The pour was a dark straw color with a huge and pillowy white head. The nose was full of fruity maltiness and hoppiness. The flavors were really well-balanced and delicious, with classic notes of banana and clove. I also got just enough hops for flavor and balance. This should be used as one of the benchmarks for a true German-style Hefe. superspak (5790) - Michigan, USA - MAR 23, 2015
330 ml bottle into weizen glass, bottled on 8/1/2014. Pours hazy bright golden color with a 2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spice and slight bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish or a good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavor; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Hefeweizen. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. henry3r (586) - Wichita, Kansas, USA - APR 12, 2005
The liquid I poured from the bottle was pale copper in color with a medium creamy white head that left nice lacing on the Weiss glass. The aroma was a beautiful mixture of sweet malt, cotton candy, sour apple and clove. The flavor bursts forth initially with clove and sweet malt while the mouthfeel is soft. The middle begins to display hints of clove and the finish is long-lasting and brings fourth notes of banana.

An excellent Hefeweizen, but slightly grainy in the finish. The taste is outstanding, with a crisp finish. pintocb (654) - Hoon, Georgia, USA - JUL 19, 2009

10/20/10. 12oz bottle. Nice light orange/yellow pour with a thick, billowing, tight white head. Nice light banana aroma with a hint of spice, cream, and metal. Nice flavor with banana, cream, soft wheat, bubblegum, and just a dash of metal. This is very nice... I’m kinda surprised. cubs (10675) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 19, 2011
Bottle @ home. Light yellow/yellow-orange hazy body with a tan/yellow head. Lighter than most German Hefeweizen. Nice yeasty and wheat malty aroma with a bit of banana in there. A bit more bitter than other German Hefeweizen but that’s not necessarily undesirable. Good wheat malty body with some banana. Pretty unique and is well-done. nuplastikk (6361) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 15, 2011
36 rates? German beers get shafted on RB. Murky, practically opaque yellow-tan. Steady creamy white head. Some creamy banana-clove notes in the aroma. A pretty solid, well executed Hefeweizen. Medium bodied, creamy and refreshing. A touch of lemon, some sweet malty tones. Excellent.
