Taste: Medium sweet, mlaty, light chocolate, light caramel.
Palate: Medium body. Light creamy. Light astringent finish.
Overall: Good, caramely.

Re-rate 2017: 0,5 l bottle from the online shop of the brewery. A darkest red brown in the glass with a huge frothy long lasting pale beige head. Low malty on the nose. Taste starts mid malty, some sweetness, hints of citrus in the background. Relative smooth and easy to drink. Not bad.

Berchtesgaden Dunkel (Zwickl) - served in pils-like glass at the brewery in 2012 (from notes).
Crystal clear, dark brown with a typical tan head that has very good duration and leaves lots of sticky lacing.
S: Fine medium/dark malt aroma, although a bit faint.
T: malty flavor. Enough hops to keep sweet and bitter in balance
M: near medium body. Medium carbonation.
