In draft. Nice golden color with white head. Malty and slightly grassy aroma. Malty taste with slightly bitter finish. Not bad pils. FROTHINGSLOSH (8308) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2013 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark golden-amber color with a huge fluffy yellow-white head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was dryish, spicy, herbal and perfumey. The flavor was malty, dryish and a bit bready with a crisp spicy and perfumey hop presence. Long malty and perfumey hop finish. Medium body. Draught @ Brewhouse: This one poured a clear, golden color. There was a large white frothy head on it. It left some lacing. There was some sweet malts to the nose as well as some faint grassy hops. The taste is pretty clean, with a slightly lighter body. Some sweet malts to the taste, with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Easy drinking. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick foamy white head. Aroma of light fruits, bready malt. Flavor is similar- pale malts, bread, light fruits, apple. Decent, slightly sweet but pretty good.

Tap. Aroma of grain and corn. Taste starts with a hint of sweet but quickly turns to a bitterness I expect from a pils. The flavor is a bit heavier/ bolder than expected making it better for enjoying than slamming in session.

Had a big mug of this next to the German Pilsner. Pours a deep orange color with a large white head. A spicy hop nose. The flavor is a robust hoppy Pilsner with loads of Pils malt, big fruity and spicy Noble hops, very clean and good. Nice! Nate (4296) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 3, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Nice beanie noble hop aroma, mild grains, pilsener malt sweetness. Light rye, bit of sulfur. Clear medium amber topped with creamy-foamy white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts medium sweet with dusty grain and pilsener malt, light rye spicy character. Medium hop bitter finish with nice flavor. Sweet after. Enjoyable. cheap (6217) - CHINA - JUL 8, 2011
Fresh batch on tap at the Pgh hofhaus. Expensive, almost $7 for a small glass. Nice yellow orange with a big rocky head. Rather mildly sweet pleasant aroma, you can tell this stuff is fresh. Yes, on the first taste this stuff is pilsner bitter but not as much as I have been experiencing in the style lately. It is more mild and much more acceptable to the lager lover. As the session continues, bitterness begins to build. THer is some fruityness in the background of this brew. Fruit first then medium pilsner bitterness follows with each slug. Has that typical hofbrua house background in there that is so prominent in their beers. Finish is not too bad, just a tad of the pilsner bitterness in there. A decent Bohemian pilsener. Aroma was nice light pilsener malt with hints of bubblegum and banana. Pour was a nice medium gold with plenty of swirling bubbles and a 4 finger white dense head...like shaving cream. Taste was a little subdued and kind of weak. Light yeastiness, a hint of lemon, light malt and some banana in the front with not much in the aftertaste. Decent carbonation. Light and very refreshing if not a little boring. Good for what it is. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 29, 2010
On tap at Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh on our way to RBSG. Pours a clear watery yellow with a medium sized white head. Third piss clear light yellow fizzy water they served me, out of five total. Light fuzzy grain, and the same subtle skunkiness their other two light lagers had. This one at least has a bit of noble hops going for it. Similarly grainy cereal flavors to the others, but a little bit of sweetness here. Faint sweet and dry grainy bitter finish. The best of the three clear yellow beers, but still not something I really want to drink.
