Draught at the BrewPub: Aroma of lager yeast, hops, light grass, and slight pale malts. Poured yellow in color with a small, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium bitter. Tastes of hops, grass, light earth, pale malts, and lager yeast. Light to medium body. Thin, lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Vegetal, pale malt finish is lightly dry.

This poured a golden yellow color with a large white head. Aroma was very grassy and malty sweetness as well. Flavor was grassy and sweet and skunky malts. Not good by anymeans, but great for the style.

A decent run of the mill pale lager. Aroma was pretty full but a little stale. Pour was a nice clear gold with a 3 finger white head. Just as I picture a beer looking like in Germanuy. Taste was average pale lager. Crisp and refreshing while ice cold, then worse as it got warmer. I can’t help but think the atmosphere of this place didn’t influence my enjoyment of this beer. Can’t wait to have this in the summer.

On tap at Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh. Mild hoppy beany aroma with some light malt sweetness. Clean crisp aroma - definitely fresh. Golden amber clear with thin white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium carbonation - soft water. Clean, crisp lager that goes down easy and refreshes. Pairs will with the fair and perfect for the surroundings. Solid pale lager.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2014 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a light golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was tangy and sweetish without a whole lot going on. The flavor was tangy and sweet lager with a crisp floral hop note and a malty undertone. The finish turned a bit dry and bitter. Decent.

Enjoyed via draft. Pours a deep golden. Nose of malt with perhaps a slight hint of German noble hops. Medium bodied- appropriate for the style. Notes of malt tend to dominate the palate.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2012 Friendly smell. initial taste is somewhat haylike. Easy going and friendly. Not as much carbonation as the Munich bottled version. Easy going and grassy manners. Good mild finish.
