COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap at Sony Centre, Berlin. Light, very light, really. Not much character to this. A Zwickl should have slightly roguher edges than this.

Swift (Sample): Apparently the bar accidentally got this keg delivered to them when it was in reality bound for a German bar in the area, who was quite upset at the loss of this beer. Anyway, it pours a yellow color that is a bit hazy. Nice quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of dry German hops and some bread. Taste is a little bit on the bitter side, but is really smooth. Not watery at all, with a nice bready feel to it. Good texture.

Draft. A hazy light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw and citrus, as well as lighter notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of straw and honey.

On tap at Lindenbrau in Berlin. Thin. Pours blonde in color with nice white lacing. Tastes of malt and water. Meh.

06/03 Draught at Lindenbrau am Potsdammerplatz, Berlin. It poured slightly hazy pale yellow body with smaller head. Lemony and slightly sweetish malty aroma. Yeasty and malty flavor, sweetish honey, biscuit and some herbal hop. Full bodied, which is really strange for the style, but definitely a plus. Still, it’s very refreshing with fine malt profile extending into long finish showing some kind of slight hop bitterness. Very good zwickl.

tomer (3564) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAR 25, 2010
Draught, thick bubbley head, lots of carbonation, quite clear pale yellow colour, yeasty aroma with a touch of vanila and mushroom and a hint of malt, flavour of honey, lemon, light breadiness and some white fruit, pleasant medium bitterness, swet and sour aftertaste, with a hint of bitterness, medium bodied.

Sample stolen from a travelmate (big thanks Zarko!), at the Lindenbräu. Poured a hazy pale yellow body, lemony, with a medium sized white head. Lemony, slightly sweetish and malty nose. Odd but nice enough taste, sweaty yeastiness, grain, light lemon. Aah, ok.

Rune (12944) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2009
300ml vom Fass at the Lindenbräu pub in Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz. Unfiltered beer served at a fine drinking temperature. Cloudy yellow body, no head to speak of, however, spotty lacework on the glass. Aroma of malt and wheat. Fresh, mild citrus fruits in flavour with a ditto mild, dry bitterness to the finish. Dry and soft in the mouth. Easy to quaff (Berlin, 21.11.2009).

Draught @ Lindenbräu Berlin, Bellevuestr 3-5, 10785 Berlin, Germany.
Unclear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, dusty, fruit acidic. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090918]

On draft somewhere in the Traunstein region. Hazy golden coloured, small but lasting head. Malty nose, citric notes, a bit grassy. Hopbitter flavour, very pleasant. Very easy to drink beer, very well suited for those 0.5 or 1 liter glasses that one finds everywhere here in Bavaria.
