BOTTLE 33 CL as Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Maximilian sei stark. Clear chestnut brown, tan head. Rich, if a bit too direct, malty and brown sugar aroma. The taste is just as malty, but the grassy hop bitterness adds enough balance the needed complexity. Very good.

Brotiger, dunkel malziger Antrunk. 9/11/11/11/7/11

Assaggiata come Maximilian sei stark. Peccato! Resta comunque una birra piacevole.

Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing! Malty-sweetish beginning. Highly drinkable with a nice dryness in the body. The beer has burned hints with fresh dry brown sugars, round and smooth, fresh and deep. Hints of roast, round and dryer-intense in the end. Nice dry caramel in the end, round and caramelly dry. Nice!

Bottle from P&M, pours a dark reddish brown with a tan head. The smell is roast, some caramel malt, fruit. The taste is licorice, caramel, fruit ending dry and crisp. Medium body with nice, fine carbonation. A good roasty Dopplebock.

Klare dunkel rötlichbraune Farbe, schöne beige Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, süß, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, Karamell, gering Vanillle, leicht alkohohlisch, guter Doppelbock!
