Unser Meistgetrunkenes!

Golden and poured with a medium head that soon subsided.Lovely maltiness which lingered on well after the bottle was finished. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Tap at Franconian Bierfest in Nürnberg, June 2013 and later from a fresh bottle: Polished yellow. Tight, creamy white foam. Pleasant aromas of lemon verbena, flower petals, new-mown hay, pepper, fresh-cut melon, grass, minerals, and a hint of vanilla cake maltiness. Fine-bubbled carbonation. Luscious hop surge accompanies an herbaceous vivacity with a juicy lemony sophistication and solid dose of stiff, palate-scrubbing minerals. Pils malt is notably cleanly extracted and exhibits an abundance of pillowy textures along with a vividly defined vanilla cake fullness that mimics a heller-bocklike richness. Lean, well-attenuated body provides an ideal platform for the starchy, mouth-filling textures that the pils malt continually generates. Beneath the plentiful softness is the toasty grip of fresh baguette. Dry and clean finish is augmented by a firm mineralic clasp and subtle nectar along with a Spalter-derived lemon candy sweetness. Yum. The brewer has extracted a tremendous amount of depth from the grain, which pairs so beautifully with the clean body. I was picking up some metal, celery, and and soap in the nose, but they were super faint and thus forgivable. As with their pils, this is easy to like.

It’s yellow-golden with a white, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of bread, flower and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness and the same lovely notes as the aroma. It’s very harmonious and nice.

3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Draft at Fränkisches Bierfest in Nürnberg as Homann naturtrüb Helles.
Hazy light gold body with a fine white head.
Quiet pilsner malt aroma of honeycomb, crackers, light grains.
Yeast brings it a strange marshmallow fluff airiness.
Very mild DMS of cooked carrot and sweet corn.
Vibrant hop acids, lots of lemon and orange citrus zestiness.
Soft body, creamy carbonation, appropriate lagering crispness.
Suffers from it’s plainness and the mild DMS notes.
Enjoyably dry, effervescent and restrained.

Russo (2014) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - AUG 23, 2014

kapusil (1563) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 4, 2013
0.5l bottle. Slightly hazy golden body, white head. Bready aroma, with floral hops and honey. Noticeable floral and even citrusy hop flavor with bread and honey. Not too bitter, but it’s more on the hoppy side. Very nice beer.

jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2003
Hop skunky aroma. Golden color, white head, good lace. Smooth, light sweet, full malts. Soft hopbitter finish.
