COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

0,5 l bottle, bought at Srspecialista.hu
Pale golden-straw colored beer with a small froathy white head that dimishes to a small lacing one. Yeasts lead the aroma, some bready malt, grassy hops. Medium-weak body, sourish yeasts again, strong grassy hops in the finish.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2011 (Bottled) The Czech style Goller pils I sampled before this unfortunatly made this seem shallow in context. . NOW ths was sweet and bready , with woody fruity bitterness..but every sip made me think of a czech pils ..like when you have sex with some random chick and wish you were making love to your -X girlfriend.

Srspecialista, Budapest. Vilgos aranysrga szne van, szp tisztn ltni benne a buborkok jtkt. Habja kzepes mretű, tejfehr, jl fellaztott tollprnhoz hasonlt s elg hamar elolvad. Illata savanyks, kiss mosatlan munkszokni szerű, enyhn malts s picit zld komls. zben is ott ez a fanyarsg, lesztő,frissen kaszlt zld nvnyi szrak, koml s malta. Nem igazn testes s elg lő. Utze erősen kesernys s savanyks hosszan tart. Engem egy rgi, hagyomnyos lagerre emlkeztetett, amitől ahogy a dal is mondja "savany a szd". Emlkeztetőnek j volt, de ennyi elg volt...

Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Sattes Goldgelb, leicht trb.

SirRepsol (158) - Cologne, GERMANY - MAY 15, 2013
from bottle. pours a clear yellow colour with a two-finger rocky white head that quickly fades away. aroma of floral hops and herbs with a slight amount of toasty maltiness and skunkiness in the background. light body, watery mouthfeel and average carbonation. the hopfen gold is characterised by quite a good balance of sweet and bitter notes and a taste that is definitely above that of your average german pilsener. highly drinkable session beer with some grassy and bready flavours and a pleasent bitter aftertaste, but nothing more...

Steffan (76) - WALES - JUL 6, 2016
Aroma of lemongrass, appearance typical of the style, decent 1.5 finger head. Smooth bitter taste and easy in the mouthfeel. Quite a malty creamy pils which gives off some grapefruit. May have drunk it at a temperature above what it should have been but this is a class pilsener with quite a lot of complexity.
