COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dieses unfiltrierte, naturtrübe Pilsbier ist das wohl bekannteste Bier der Brauerei Hofstetten. Süffig und untergärig war dieses Vollbier schon vor 500 Jahren ein Geheimtipp der Mühlviertler Brauer, die sich zur Jause einen Kübel direkt vom Fass zapften. Da Hefe und Eiweiß - Eiweiß einer der Hauptgeschmacksträger jeden Bieres - nicht ausfiltriert werden, behält das Kübelbier seine natürliche Trübung und seinen harmonischen und runden Geschmack. Auch der mühlviertler Hopfen kommt in diesem Bier voll zur Geltung, da bei der Filtration normalerweise Hopfenaromastoffe verloren gehen, die in diesem Fall dem Bier eine kräftige aber angenehme Hopfennote verleiht.

330ml brown bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Hazy yellow colour, small white cap, . Nose has grain, bread and some leafy hop notes. Taste has grainy notes, sweet up front, grassy hops, hay and a bit of earth at the end. Light bitter note, trace yeasty. Light body, mild carbonation. Kind of a light feel here, pretty drinkable but not too exciting overall.

Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a medium white head, aroma is very yeasty and a bit bready with some citric notes, taste is malty and sweet with some metallic and boozy notes and only a little hop bitterness, lively carbonation. Overall very refreshing and drinkable.
