Our lightest ale offering, Curly Tail is brewed with pilsner and Vienna malts, and two types of hops. A light and refreshing blonde ale that is slightly fruity with delicate hopping to balance the malt sweetness. 18 IBUs O.G. = 1.040 s.g.

Draft at the source. Cloudy pale yellow color. Aroma of bready lemon. Taste is bitter lemon and lager, not a great combo.

Keg @ Hog Haus. Cloudy gold with a medium white head. Looks like a hefe. Strong honeyed cereal, banana dessert, some apple fruit leather. Crazy sweet. Taste is similar. Super sugary bread. Grains. Porridge and brown sugar. Pretty ruddy and undefined. Medium body, soft carbonation. Poor.

[Tap] Golden pour with a soapy white head. Nose is of corn flakes and grass. Light malts, a bit of metal and dry grassy hops round out the taste. Thin body. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Pours a light yellow with some persistent head. A bit cloudy. Tastes a bit soapy. Finishes very dry. Nice lacing on the glass.

Gold pour with frothy white head and lace. Light maltiness and papery aroma. Dry maltiness with a very nice bitter finish. Clean and refreshing. Pretty nice for the style no off flavors.

Deep yellow in color and a decent head. Nose is good mild malt balanced by grass. Slight sour and grass but well blanaced.

On draft at the pub with Brett and Hannah. Rating this one as a blonde ale. Poured the expected golden color with an ok initial head and decent spotty lacing. The aroma was grainy, slight honey. The flavor was bready and grainy with some corn adjuncts in there (yet in a not so bad way) as well as a light hop presence in the finish. The mouthfeel was moderate in body, yet finishing somewhat crisp and refreshing.

on tap at brewpub. pours dark gold with a white head and has nice lacing. this is a mild pale ale with a lack of flavor; has a weak body and seems slightly metallic. as it warms it gets a bit sweet. otherwise just a boring beer.

hezron (614) - Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 24, 2005
A lightly malty nose, not much else going on in the aroma for me. Golden color, clear and sparkling with a thin, white head. Flavor is light caramel malt with a thint of grassiness and an abrupt finish with some citrusy notes. Watery texture with a thin body.
