On tap at the brewpub in Fayetteville, AR. Pours a clear, deeper copper colored body with a finger-width, creamy, beige-tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is pumpkin pie spices and vanilla with a lightly sweetened biscuit and caramel malt backing. Touches of pumpkin in there too. Flavor is similar. Pumpkin pie spices with a good amount of vanilla balanced nicely with a lightly sweetened biscuit and caramel malt backing as well as a light pumpkin note. Finishes clean, spiced, lightly bitter, and lightly sweetened before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium, smooth body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid pumpkin ale. Spicy with a good amount of vanilla, but balanced nicely. Very enjoyable. heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - OCT 24, 2009
Tap at the brewpub. Dark copper colored body with a light tan head. The nose was fruity with peaches and some leather. The taste was fairly boozy with raw grains and pumpkin. A very harsh finish and not pleasing to drink. It was like a pumpkin malt liquor and I could not taste the claimed spices.
