[Tap] Very dark brown in color with a small head. Nose is of cocoa and bitter roasted malts. Taste includes caramel, molasses, bitter grain husks, earthy peat and milk chocolate. Mildly astringent. Light bitterness. Light to average palate. Tasting notes from 11/2011. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - FEB 28, 2014
Had on tap at the brewpub in Fayetteville. Pours a dark black. Thin tan head. Roast. Chocolate. Soy. Very dry decent stout. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2012
On tap at the brewpub in Fayetteville, AR. Pours a black body with an inch thick, dense and creamy, darker brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is roasty with a nice dark chocolate backing as well as touches of dark fruit, vanilla, coffee, and earthy hops. Flavor is similar. Roasty with a slight coffee note and a solid chocolate malt backing. Touches of vanilla and dark fruits as this finishes dry and roasty with a bit of a char note alongside a light earthy bitterness and balanced dark chocolate. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid stout. Roasty, lightly bitter and dry with a balanced chocolate. Nice beer. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 28, 2012

Brown pour with tan head and lace. Roasty malt, light chocolate, and a hinto coffee aroma. Toasted malt, coffee on the front, light chocolate, and a good malt bitter and some earthy hops. Pretty good beer. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - NOV 16, 2010
Poured black with a medium tan head. Very, very heavy roasted malt- too much. Way too burnt. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAR 2, 2009
Black colored body with a yellowish head. The aroma was light smoke with some toffee and sweetened coffee. The taste was lightly roasted coffee with some burnt pancakes. There was also some soybean. Another straightforward and relatively simple brew. grikmok (132) - Little Rock, Arkansas, USA - FEB 19, 2009
Served on tap at the brewpub. Soft aromas of roasted coffee and chocolate. Initial taste of malts and ended with a bitter sweet flavor. Not a bad beer but the body was a little too mild for the flavors. Would have preferred it to be a bit more creamy. Still it’s a good beer. User37895 (3042) - - MAR 19, 2007
On draft at the pub with Brett and Hannah. My favorite of the HH lineup while there. Pour was typical for a stout and this was a perfect temperature when I got to it. Good chocolate and coffee presence in the aroma with coffee underneath. The flavor flip flopped the two, definite coffee dominance with chocolate in support. Not enough roast or hop flavors to keep this thing from being a touch too sweet, yet this one was still quite enjoyable. Mouthfeel was a little light and flat to be great.
