Growler from the brewery and draughts at Hogan’s Hideaway. Pours medium golden with a white head and moderate lacing. Aroma is floral and hops, with some malt additions. Hops are well balanced and finish is classic APA bitterness. Very good representation of the style.
2010 Autumn Festival of Ales - Is this another IPA. Better than some of the others. Golden pour with a citrus and hop aroma. A medium hop body with a bitter ending. blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 20, 2008
On tap at Hogan’s Hideaway in Rochester NY. Pours gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus hops, fruit and caramel. Medium body, very clean and crisp. Flavor starts almost like orange candy, then a hint of brown sugar and caramel followed by a all hop finish, with floral hops lying underneath throughout. Nicely balanced, very drinkable. On-tap as "American Pale" at Mr. Goodbar. Good citrus aroma. Attractive soapy white head. Citrus taste, very bitter like an understated IPA or extra-bitter. ClarkVV (6862) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 24, 2003
Pale muted gold color.
Not much hops aroma.
Served very cold and has a dry hopped appeal. Though there is little malt character. Tastes leafy/floral but the body is only medium and ends with more dry hops and a little subdued on the finish body wise.
