330ml bottle.
Sour and mushroomy aroma. Also in the taste, but with some additional bitter hops. Uninspiring.

Tasted 02/06/2008. 500ml bottle from Regional Winesand Spirits. Pours a brilliant reddish amber with a tight creamy light tan head. I wonder where the yeast is on this bottle-conditioned ale and then notice big flocculant chunks at the bottom of the glass... a little 5-star magic there. Nutty, biscuit and caramel malt, milk chocolate, a little floral note off the yeast and a earthy, fruity, tea-like Golding aroma. Lovely! It’s a little tired in the mouth but carries through all of the above flavours with hefty, dominanant hop flavour (fuggles here too), a mild to firming bitterness and a perfectly gentle carbonation. This’d be a real cracker fresh, I reckon.

Bright red in colour with thin cream colured head. Caramel aroma, well balanced malt and hops flavours, warm mouthfeel. Nothing too adventerous.

It’s a nice copper color and the head is moderate. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt. The flavour is delicious!! It has notes of roasted malt, fruit, a hint of caramel and a nice bitter and hoppy finish. Very tasty and nicely balanced.
