Bottle-conditioned ale, 500ml. Dark amber with a very thin head (yet it laces nicely on the glass), the nose carries orange and hints of banana and chocolate. A little more banana and coriander plus malt in the mouth, building into a full plummy and orangey body. Then the aftertaste has dried fruit and a touch of sweetness fading quickly to a long bitter finish. Needs to be a bit above "cool" for the flavour to come through.
Bottle. Amber Brown colour. Clear body. Malty (toasted malts, caramel). Fruity (some dried fruit and citrus). Grassy hops. Full flavoured. Moderately bitter throughout. Dry bitter malty hoppy finish. (2008)
