A malty pale golden beer with hints of banana and pineapple. An excellent balance of aroma and bittering hops followed by a long dry hoppy finish.

Cask by handpump at Bon Accord, Glasgow - clear deep golden, thin white head, minimal fruity aroma, rather bland, easy to drink

August 17, 2012 - on handpull at The Charles Dickens - as Hogs Back Hop. Clear coppery gold with a small creamy off-white head. Smells like grassy corn syrup with a bit of alcohol - taste follows, slightly harsh. Slick and syrupy and thin on the tongue, very little carbonation, with a harsh sweet finish. Not nice.

No head. It smells a bit hoppy, CO² difficult. Taste a bit sour, malty bad. I don´t llike it. 8/7/4/4/-/4

Pour clear golden, with a small white head. Aroma of slight malty caramel, and some really mellow hoppy notes. Taste is a little bitter. Slightly watery body, with a semi-flat carbonation.

First tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in April 1992. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale copper in colour with a thin white head. Floral hops and cut grass in the short aroma. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit note laced with soft caramel. Floral hop resins give a herbal note to the long dry aftertaste. Finish is again dry with lemon fruit notes present. An ok session Golden Ale.

Cask @ Nag Head. Pours clear deep copper amber with a nic creamy off white head leaving lace. Aroma is malty, fruity, some floral tones and hay. Flavor is smooth, hoppy bitter, malty, fruity and slightly acidy. Finishes sweetis and longlived bitter.

Bottle. Bronze beer with a light fizzy head. The aroma is biscuity, and the flavour is biiter, lightly roasted and hopped with a mild yeasty finish. Overall a very average beer.

olio (10819) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 6, 2011
50 cl bottle.
Pours clear golden yellow colour with small white head which soon dissipates. Aroma is grass, buttery, almost potato-like maltiness, caramel and a hint of fruits. Butter, malts and caramel on the taste also. Very lightly hopped golden ale with a watery mouthfeel and a dry bitter aftertaste.

lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 10, 2011
500 ml bottle. BBE 04/2012.
Pours a copper colour with a very small head. Aroma of grainy malts, honey and grass. Flavour of grainy malts, nuts, caramel and grassy hops. Watery mouthfeel with a mild bitter finish. Boring.
