COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Brewery conditioned (filtered)
A light and very refreshing golden ale, named after the many hop gardens that used to be found in the fields surrounding the brewery and throughout the Farnham Valley. Crafted with a fine blend of best English malted barley and fresh local Fuggles hops from one of the last hop farms in the area, Hop Garden Gold is a perfect balance of aroma and bitterness, with a slight hint of fruit and sweetness.

Bottle from Aldi. Dark gold with a slightly odd orange hue. Malty and grainy with a slight fruity hint (tangerine?) in the nose. Decent sweet taste with only slight hop bitterness at the end of the sip. Not so sure about the aftertaste, which along with a welcome floral note has a corny astringency like many poor lagers. This isn’t a bad beer, and I like it a bit more as it goes on,but it’s highly unlikely to become one of my favourites.

A nice bright and bouncy golden ale. Won’t shock anyone with originality but a nice smooth brew that I’ll buy again, as it’s 1.25 in Aldi.

Clear gold color with minimal white foam. Aromas, mainly malty, bit soapy, grassy and fresh and bit more on the sweet side but weak. Palate, light body with lightish maybe bit oily texture leaving grassy bitter finish. Taste is more on bitter side and tastes mainly of bitter green grass. Overall, interesing beer with harsh grass bitternes not hop like though. Not the easiest going but interesting to try.

Clear golden-amber with a head that settles thin and lacy. Nose has hints of fresh orange and caramel. Bitter-sweet with a dry hoppiness over a sweet malty and lightly fruity body.

Dear me this is getting a bit of a kicking but it’s actually pretty decent. Bottle from a farm shop in one of those Santa’s grotto, big fuck off garden centres. Clean lemony aroma with grass, sherbet, biscuit and sappy Germanic hop. Pleasant herbal and lemony hop with coriander and monkey nut suggestions. Generous concluding bitterness. Brilliant gold with a slender white lid. Yes there’s a hint of phosphorus but it puts hairs on your chest. Thoroughly decent and not shy on the hop front.

Gylden brun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Søtlig lukt, karamell og røde bær. Søt smak, lite bitterhet. Kort.
