En mörk strong ale med fin maltkaraktär. Ändå inte en öl som stack ut tillräcklig för att bli minnesvärd. bluebetty (1021) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 20, 2011

Bottled, nice work by mowbeer lugging this back for pivni rozmanitost in Prague. Reddish brown with a thin, frothy head; aroma of rusty tea and stewed red berries; some molasses and rye and a long, lightly bitter finish. Good example of a winter warmer

Bottle from the hog’s back brewery shop in Tongham. Pours deep mahogany with a small tan head. Flavours are sweet with fruit cake, sherry and something a little woody. Maybe just a slight vegetable note, but otherwise very good. Marko (5928) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 10, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2017 Dark brown body, tiny light tan head. Aroma... Chocolate, good maltiness, light raisin, caramel, lovely! Mild dry malty body caramel, light tart touch, fruity, just a tad soapy. Fresh. Nice enough and yes, tasty. Not a world beater but a very beer nonetheless, just slightly too thin.
