Bottle. Almost black beer with a gentle head. The aroma is milky and chocolatey and the flavour is quite vinous, dry, bitter and slighlty roasted. Overall a nice beer. omhper (25750) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 12, 2007
Bottled. Very dark beown. Sweet with a wealth of figs and plums up front. Medium bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with notes of coffee. Lightly salty finish. An interesting gently warming beer. thebeertourist (5188) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2007
Bottle. Dark brown with a small light brown head. Roasted malts, fruits, some sourness and coffee aroma. Berries, some yoghurty sourness meeting coffee and burnt malts flavours. Relatively thin texture. Original, though I am not 100% convinced that the sour fruits marry that well with the roasted malts in this beer.

The bottle conditioned version: Deep red. Musty, woody and fruity aromas. Slightly solvent. Oily mouth feel with a touch of welcome sourness amongst the malty dark fruit flavours. The alcohol is obvious and some hops come from nowhere to linger nicely. There are several good seperate elements of this but whether they come together to form one really good beer may depend on taste. I think it’s fairly good. Bottle. Dark brown color. Aroma: butter, a little phenols and oak, malt and caramel. Taste: caramel, toffee, wine. thewolf (12803) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2008
Bottle, bought at Cockneys, Aarhus. Pours a beautiful, deep, chestnut brown with a fine, frothy, off-white head. Sweetish aroma with lots of caramel, some roasted malts and a fruity edge with some red berries. Lowish carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit weak, compared to the aroma. Some light roated malts and chocolate with a subdued hoppy dryness. Quite drinkable.
