Amber color, hazy; the head disappears quickly. Mild aroma of malt, caramel and alcohol. Malt flavor, medium bodied, lightly fruity; warming. Overall, quite boring.
Hazy reddish amber color. Aroma of malt, light raisins, some spices. Quite malty, with an evident wooden character (cask), caramel, and sweet liquorice. Quite strong bitterness, adapted to the beer. Warming. Emotionally not impressive, but very pleasant.

Bottle. (Wobble in a bottle). Red-brown with small head. Marmite, fruit (plums), brandy, dry fnish, low carbonation. Went nicely with a lovely Stilton. Better than the Hogs Back Brewsters Bundle that preceeded it.

Bottled (Wobble In A Bottle). Deep brown liquor with an orange-red tint and a virtually non-existant head. It has very little aroma and a vinous body that explodes into a warming brandy and grapefruit finish. Jeppe (2634) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - APR 17, 2005
Hazy amber color, small head. Sweet malt and grass aroma with some spices and anise hints. Mostly sweet and spicy flavor with liquorice notes. Quite full and different. Ungstrup (38957) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 4, 2005
An unclear dark red beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma sweet and spicy - especially ginger standing out. The flavor is sweet and spicy, but also with roasted and chocolate notes.
