Gravity cask at the Wandsworth Halloween BF 2011. Pours clear, rich ruby with a faint, white head. Tons of ripe fruits on the nose. Flavor is very sweet, lots of rich bread, cake, ripe and slightly tangy fruits, berries. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish, loads of ripe fruits, light caramel, toasty sugar. Very decent strong ale. SilkTork (5921) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2002
Hogs Back's strong use of hops is here well balanced by a luscious sweet malt base. The alcohol provides a rich satisfying depth. A splendid beer. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2004
Bottled. A mid brown coloured beer with a bright red hue and absolutley head free. The aroma is fruity with strawberries and mandarins noted. The taste is thick with chewy hops, again with strawberries noted. To my mind this is an attempt at a Barley Wine with slightly less alcohol but loads of fruity hops. Enjoyable. Hogs Back Wobble in a Bottle. Picked up at Hogs Back. Pours cloudy and copper, no head. This is the second strong Hogs Back beer I’ve had and I have to say they are damn ugly but pretty tasty! This one has some doughy character, fruit and sweetness amongst the heavily visibly alcohol content. Tasty. RichardGretton (4861) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2006
Bottle. Bronze beer with a strong slightly off white head. The aroma is very rich and slightly spiced and the flavour has a zing, is rich and fruity and syrupy. Overall a very nice beer.

Bottled as Wobble in the Bottle.at Monks Café, Stockholm. Hazy reddish orange colour, small bubbly foam. No visible carbonation. Big malty and fairly dry aroma of figs, dried apricots, coconuts, rum and tart cherries. Full-bodied and medium-sweet flavour of figs, nuts, coconuts, wood raisins and alcohol. Hot finish of orange-peels, almonds, pepper and alcohol. A classy English Strong.
BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 28, 2010
[330ml bottle, Waitrose Edinburgh] Pours totally flat, opaque purplish/mauve with no rising carbonation. Smells extremely fruity, hints of dark stone fruits – plums, prunes etc. Alcohol tang is the first thing on the palate, then rich stone and berry fruit, malts and warmth. Ripe tastes hide the alcohol in the finish and leave more fruit flavours to come out at the end – it tastes like it should be one of your five a day, and would be sensational with some fruitcake. I love the cartoon man slumped in his armchair with beer and slippers [sampled as Wobble in a Bottle]. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2011
Cask (gravity dispense) at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, London on 6 December 2006. Dark reddish brown colour. Strong raisiny fruit aroma with some vinous notes and a slight herbal, medicinal feel. More rich fruit on the palate. Plums and prunes. Slightly woody. Rich and complex mouthfeel. A warming and satisfying strong ale.
