cask gravity in The Rack of Ale Dover. Clear dark brown colour. Thin tan bubbly head. Funnily enough I liked this. Chocolate and port aroma. Decent condition. Some hop. Good. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2014
Bottled 17/09/14. A dark ruby coloured beer with a white head and a little lace. Quite fruity and sweet. More old ale or mild territory in my book. Late bitterness but no roast. Quite pleasant and does grow on you. joe19612 (2929) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2013

Taste is light roast malt, cardboard, papery, dark fruit, dates.

Pretty mediocre. Scopey (14778) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2013
Bottle shared by Colin at Leighton & Jack’s birthday fun-time. It pours dark red-brown with a small-medium beige head. The nose is light roasted malt, toast, cocoa and earth. The taste is about the same...mellow roast, toast, cocoa, earth...not much else. Finishes up dry. Light-medium body and average carbonation. Very so-so. teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - APR 13, 2013
50cl bottle shared by Colin at CBC Clerkenwell. This was quite bad. Not sure if it’s just the beer being bland a bit unpleasant or the bottle that was a bad one. Either way, poor stout character in this one, quite bland with some off-flavours. fairwater (146) - Reading, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 23, 2013
Cask @ Nags Head. Deep ruby colour, slightly roasty aroma. Forest fruits, faint toast, residual sweetness balanced with light hop bitterness. Maybe a little thinner than I expected, though. Very drinkable.
