A deep darl ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, light faint chocolate with light peated notes. In mouth, a light s$oked beer with light peaty bacon notes, powdery chocolate, decent. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2013
2013-03-29. Very dark brown black body small beige head. 3+ Interesting aroma, dark malt, modest woody smoke, muted mushroom like earthiness. 6++ Flavour is similar, dark malt core, dry roast, light smoke is interesting. Average bodied palate is a hair light for the beer. Not bad overall, it’s pretty decent but I don’t necessarily want more either as it is not really to my own tastes. Bottle courtesy of Gregclow. Black pour at The Only. Deep black pour with a tight tan head. The aroma is softly toasty with a touch of fruit and some very faint smoke. Slightly berryish with faint sweetness. A touch of light pepper and some earthy bitterness. Decent stout although the smoke could be turned up a notch. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 29, 2013
[5179-20130329] Bottle. Smoked woody coffee grains aroma. Brown black body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Roasted coffee grinds and lightly spiced flavour. Medium-full body. Good, drinkable. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

pours unclear light brown mahogany with a small light beige-red cap, some retention and lacing. burnt caramel, brown malts, salty and chalky - lots of minerals, lightly smoked roasted maltiness - not really bacony, licorice and other spices - cloves. light carbonation, light body - oily but lacking; drying yet balanced lightly smoked-grassy finish. roasted profile, body corpulence and smoky-bacony character lacks, but this pale-ish stout makes a good confit d’oignons.

Done pretty well for a gimmicky concept. Bacon is just right enough to work. Smoky light bacon combines with good roast malt aroma. Pours black without much head or lacing. Average carbonation. Finishes a little meaty, a little bitter and definitely salty from the bacon. Tap at Arrow and Loon. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
Bottle [size?] courtesy of GregClow. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size semi-lasting fluffy tan head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoke, toasted malt, oats, some earthiness, salt and a bit of dark fruit. Flavour of lightly toasted malt, light smoke, dark fruit, some coffee and some light hops in the earthy bitter finish. Average body is a little light for the style. Pretty good, it could use a little more smoke in the flavour but it’s not a bad beer by any means. Radek Kliber (7320) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 29, 2013

Very drinkable nice mildly smoked stout. Poured with light head and opaque dark brown base. Very clean and drinkable. Nice extra dimension. Very well brewed. I would try again.
Bottle: Poured a clear black color stout with a small brown foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of smoked malt with weird off flavours is not really enticing. Taste is a mix between some weird off grainy flavours with malt with gross residual sugar notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. I have a hard time understanding how this beer was ever though as a good idea. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - APR 20, 2015
