Dark thick and foamy head. Nice taste, a solid stout with a bacon aftertaste. This is a good thing. AleRider78 (1133) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 27, 2016
Had a 4oz. sampler at the Ottawa Winterbrewed festival. Now rating a pint on tap at Arrow and Loon. Arrived with barely any head, just a thin ring around inside. Has a dark brown appearance. Fairly weak lacing. Aromas of mild roasted malts with hints of chocolate. Flavours are of dark roasted malts as well as chocolate and hints of caramel and molasses. Getting a bit of the bacon flavour in the aftertaste and mostly in the finish. Slightly smokey as well. Mild bitterness on the palate. A little bit of a watery mouthfeel. The bacon is a bit faint, just enough to get some hints of it. Pretty good stuff. Metalchopz (3391) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 20, 2013
Enjoyed with the GF after work, when a snowstorm seemed to paralyze the streets of Ottawa. Time for a brew and some food. Poured a dark brown colour with a small head and minimal lace. Roasted malt nose with fruity hints, molasses and chocolate. Refreshingly wet, but with enough body, and all-around smooth. The fruitiness takes a bit over the burnt malt in the taste. Not really feeling the bacon anywhere though. More like a mild coffee and milk finish. Still, a good stout with fruity notes. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 23, 2013
Black pour at The Only. Deep black pour with a tight tan head. The aroma is softly toasty with a touch of fruit and some very faint smoke. Slightly berryish with faint sweetness. A touch of light pepper and some earthy bitterness. Decent stout although the smoke could be turned up a notch. Radek Kliber (7363) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 29, 2013

On tap at Winterbrewed - served much too cold but with outside temperatures of -19C what can you do - still happy to get to try this beer. Black with a brown head. Oats, some baker’s chocolate, hint of meatiness, bit of lactose. Moderate carbonation and body, the smoke and bacon really develop on the palate without overwhelming. Quite tasty. Bottle [size?] courtesy of GregClow. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size semi-lasting fluffy tan head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoke, toasted malt, oats, some earthiness, salt and a bit of dark fruit. Flavour of lightly toasted malt, light smoke, dark fruit, some coffee and some light hops in the earthy bitter finish. Average body is a little light for the style. Pretty good, it could use a little more smoke in the flavour but it’s not a bad beer by any means. herrbrown1974 (427) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 14, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is caramel malt and a little smokiness. Medium body. Sweetly malty. A little iron and saltiness throughout. It’s decent, definitely unique, but morrre baaaaaacon pleeeeeese.
Actually, further to that. Steak is delicious, but if I boiled a steak and drank the water, that wouldn’t be very delicious. Maybe the only way to get the taste of actual bacon in a drink is to add artificial bacon flavouring. I wonder if it was cooked or raw before addition? Now I just want some bacon.
