Bottle. Slightly hazy. Pours amber with white head. Aroma is yeasty with some spizy hop character. Flavour is malty with notes of caramel. Hops are spizy and phenolic. Seems a bit off. tfredvik (2040) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 25, 2013
Slightly hazy, pale golden body with a large, creamy, off-white, long-lived head that reduces to a everlasting layer that laces the glass very well. The aroma is quite strong and is nothing close to an English pale ale at all! In a blind test I would have sworn that this is a Belgian golden strong ale! It’s spicy, floral, yeasty (again, Belgian, which I understand is completely wrong), dry and with notes of honey. The strange thing is that it tastes like a Belgian golden strong ale as well, with flavours following the aroma, but with a tad too much alcohol. The taste is light sweet with a rather long-lasting moderate bitter finish. Crisp mouthfeel, medium body, dry texture, quite lively carbonation. I lovely beer, too bad I’ve got it completely wrong. About time to cut down on the painkillers, I think. Rasmus40 (21990) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 16, 2013
