Danish: Lys, frugtig ale efter engelsk forbillede med masser af smag fra Marris Otter malten og den originale Whitbread gær. Duften er krydret med Saazer humle, og den fyldige øl har tydelig humlekarakter.

English: A light, fruity English inspired ale with lots of flavour from the Marris Otter malts and the original Whitbread yeast. The aroma is spiced with Saazer hops and the full-bodied beer has a distinct hop character.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Fresh aroma of malt, yeast and hops. Taste is of malt, hops, bread, citrus and yeast. Sweet but with a slightly citric finish. Body is above average and carbonation is high. Good.

Foodfestival, 2014. Slightly hazy amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, hop and a little butter. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, little butter, medium sweet, little grass and a little bitter.

Bottle. Slightly hazy. Pours amber with white head. Aroma is yeasty with some spizy hop character. Flavour is malty with notes of caramel. Hops are spizy and phenolic. Seems a bit off.

Slightly hazy, pale golden body with a large, creamy, off-white, long-lived head that reduces to a everlasting layer that laces the glass very well. The aroma is quite strong and is nothing close to an English pale ale at all! In a blind test I would have sworn that this is a Belgian golden strong ale! It’s spicy, floral, yeasty (again, Belgian, which I understand is completely wrong), dry and with notes of honey. The strange thing is that it tastes like a Belgian golden strong ale as well, with flavours following the aroma, but with a tad too much alcohol. The taste is light sweet with a rather long-lasting moderate bitter finish. Crisp mouthfeel, medium body, dry texture, quite lively carbonation. I lovely beer, too bad I’ve got it completely wrong. About time to cut down on the painkillers, I think.

Sampled on a Saturday eve at Ølfestival København 2013. Clear golden body, good lacing down the glass. Pale malty aroma with lighter notes of caramel. Bready malts together sweet fruity hops, as well as some kind of wheat. Finish off with a little spiced bitterness. Medium to thin bodied. Average (Copenhagen 25.05.2013).
