Bottle. Pale golden in colour. Hoppy (floral hops). Mildly citrus fruity. Mild. Subtle. Sweetish. Quite tasty. Drinkable. (2008)

On draught. Clear golden, smooth, bitter with a hint of hops. A great example of a session bitter.

The_Osprey (9721) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2016
Cask at The Great Western, Wolverhampton as ’Holdens Golden Glow’. Dark yellow, clear, still, dense creamy white head, thick lacing. Aroma is airy and light, non-deScript. Some sweet apple notes later on. Body is medium, soft carbonation, rounded. Taste is apple sauce, yeast, sweet honey-ish malt, fudgey. Occasionally hints at egg. An interesting and quaffable beer, intended to be knocked back by the pint - and I could easily drink it in those quantities.

500ml bottle from Moonshine & Fuggles beer shop, Ironbridge. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of citrus, grassy hop. Flavour is malt, grain, straw, hay and some citrusy bitterness. Light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

500ml bottle at home, clear golden beer with a white head, notes of cereal, wheat, straw and malts. Good but it ain’t mild!!!

minutemat (6254) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2014
Cask @ The Salopian, Shrewsbury. It actually does have a kind of golden glow. Smooth caramel flavours, a faint air of citrus, easily quaffable, not a bad drop.

Great session beer. Golden pale ale with bitter hoppiness, great with a beef and dripping cob at the Great Western in Wolves.
