1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Rated while drinking: Chestnut color with a fluffed-up head. All for show. Smells like the bock I just had from this brewery. Sweet malts. More cereal water. Not offensive, but I could probably get drunk off of water a bit faster.
Catch up rating. A rather unimpressive marzen as apart of an American Legacy mixed pack, made from historical recipes. generallee08 (773) - New York, USA - JUN 25, 2014
The body has an amber color with very good clarity and some visible carbonation. On top sits a light fluffy white head that quickly fades to a very thin covering that make some spotty slick lace on the glass. Its aroma is very light and there is little to describe. I only noticed a very faint malty sweetness in the nose. There is a light sweet malty grain and husk flavor with some corn or cooked vegetable notes and just a hint of diacetyl. This is balanced by a touch of grassy hops and an odd astringent flavor as well. It finishes dry and clean. The palate has a fairly light body with an average borderline fizzy carbonation.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2014 Bottle from Brandon - thanks. Hazy brownish amber pour with a small head. Slightly caramel sweetness but watery. wlajwl (6866) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Rather dark for a Marzen, the aroma is slightly nutty malts and bread. The flavor is bread, slightly nutty malts, a hint of fruit and mild sweetness in the finish. Thinner in body and flavor than I’d prefer, it was passable enough. Cybercat (5877) - Georgia, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Aroma has a fruity core and hints of malt and caramel. It pours a pretty clear amber with a fluffy, if typical, white head. Flavor has fruity and malty tones with a hint of caramel - not remarkable, but definitely drinkable. Smooth texture has average body and average fizziness. Not outstanding, but still enjoyable. A good party beer.

Amber with off white creamy head. Mild hop and mild caramel aroma. Full bodied, caramel, lemon hop , and mild fruit flavored. Hop bitter finish.

12fl oz bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Amber with almost no head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and maple syrup. Flavor is sweet also with a modest balancing hops element. A bit more carbonation than I expected. Short finish Overall, a nice, drinkable beer. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - FEB 3, 2011

Pours deep amber with a Coke-like lively body and thickness. Aroma is light pipe tobacco and roasted malt, with a hint of chocolate-covered marshmallow. Flavor is light smoked pipe tobacco with a hint of roasted coffee beans and light caramel. Decent mouthfeel. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
Clear amber with a small off-white head that’s quickly gone. Aroma is burnt toast, butter, and caramel. Taste is light caramel and bready malt, somewhat sweet, but I can’t detect any "modest bitterness." Body is light and buttery. This is better than the other beers from the Beers of America pack, but still lacks complexity and re-buy appeal. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - NOV 26, 2010
Dark malty appearance. Short lived tan head. Nice aroma with a good presence of hops and balance of malt nose. Full flavor without being too heavy or malty. The hops, again, nicely balance this oktoberfest. Refreshing and satisfying.
