3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Vibrant fruity aroma but sadly it was a little thin and fairly bland, not a beer for those who like a lot of flavour. Very sessionable though.
Bottle at Slow Beer, Fitzroy, Melbourne. Poured a clear copper colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, light fruity, malty, light metallic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicke80 (750) - Södertälje, SWEDEN - APR 23, 2017
33 cl bottle from BIG kuala lumpur. Pours brown with little head. Sweet caramel aroma with malty nutty taste. Sweet malty short after taste. DavidAust (275) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 26, 2016
330ml bottle. Called an ESB but not really. Darkish copper brown. Aroma of malt and possible dark fruits - but all less than expected, and the same with the flavour. It is a nice enough drop, just not in line with what you expect in an ESB. CurlyJoe (242) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 18, 2016
Dark brown with some white head. Sweet aroma of malt. Taste is definitely bitter, but also some chocolate and malt to it. Pretty tasty. Gonzin (187) - ARGENTINA - APR 20, 2016

On tap. Poured as unremarkable as it drank. No doubt better than a lager, but malt and hops where fairly balanced and surpressed so bit of a nothing beer. Drinkable though Wim (3980) - Weelde, BELGIUM - AUG 28, 2015
On holiday hazy brown colored body with an off white head and with a citrus fruity hop aroma a hops slightly sweet fruity dry bitter taste with a bitter finish RafeAU (629) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 23, 2015
On tap at Holgate tap takeover at the Durham, 23/4/2015. Pleasant ESB, more hop forward than malt. Enjoyable session beer. mattyhennessy (376) - Highton, AUSTRALIA - APR 22, 2015
Hazy brown pour, beige/tan head. Medium carbonation. Toffee aroma, earthy floral hop notes. Taste is surprisingly watery, with a bready backbone and some present bitterness but little flavour to match. Astringency that wasn't expected. Not my favourite even though I usually like Holgate beers ShaneJ (896) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 15, 2015
Bottle from Plonk (June 2014). Slightly hazy copper, off-white head, lots of caramel malt, slightly nutty, roasty, juicy tropical fruit hops, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, a very good ESB.
