Pours dark amber with little head. Smells very sweet with spicy hops. Flavour is overbearing with sweetness. Overall tastes like a little bit of a haphazard iipa. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 5, 2012
Copper. Minimal head. Boozy, hoppy brown sugar scent. Tastes the same only stronger in all aspects. A bit raw and rough. reebtogi (6277) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 13, 2012
330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a small white head that settles quickly to leave some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is piney with some caramel. Taste is a piney hop bitterness with some passionfruit and a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with some decent carbonation. Easy drinking for a DIPA and quite tasty and recommended. (Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled on 06/04/12, at Pikkulintu, 20120908) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had pine, malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, sweetness, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice beer with a little bit too much sweetness.

More of a strong ale or weak barleywine than a DIPA. Not real complex or very hoppy. Yawn mattkatz (13) - California, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Bottle pour in tulip style shaker. Clear filtered, light amber color. Thin, white head with little lacing. Caramel toffee notes in aroma, with hint of pine. Light on carbonation, strong initial hop hit with distinct bitterness, but soon mellows to be relatively easy on palate with malty, smoothness. Aftertaste is sweet but a bit stronger than other Double IPA?s, at this 7% abv. Seems like a decent entry for the style. ando1712 (11) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 27, 2012
Big hop hit to start with & malt as well. A good start.
Dark Brown, a little cloudy, small head from start to finish but it never completely goes away.
impressive mix of dark malt & hops. Both are very strong.
Long lasting bitter aftertaste with enough sweetness to bring you back for more.
A very impressive beer from a brewery I’ve not been a massive fan of in the past Gramoit (490) - Surrey, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2012
On tap at harts Pub, this is a pretty enjoyable, easy going IPA. Fairly hoppy without being excessive and with mild medium bitterness. Very accessible IPA. LesArgen (360) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 28, 2012
Lovely malt butterscotch aroma with a broad grapefuit front and a sharper lemon note. There’s just a hint of late chocolate and that 7% alcohol comes through a little too. When tasted, the hops are more prominent, mainly in the form of sour grapefruit, which is a touch overbearing, but if you really close your eyes and concentrate you get a little malt underneath the citrus assault. All up, a good double IPA, though not as good as the Mornington Peninsula Imperial IPA I had recently.
