5.3%ABV. Brown ale. CraftExp (3) - Coffs Harbour, AUSTRALIA - AUG 27, 2014 does not count
Poured out of the bottle a beautiful nut brown amber. 28ªSRM.
Nose has some sweet date fruitiness and straight malt syrup. There are some nice apricot aromas in the nose.
Mouthfeel is carbonated and quite light. No hops. The flavors are local jerky of sliced pork bakkwa, an ume sourness and a slow medium palate of water biscuits, rye bread and lightly browed wheat toast.
Finish is watery and brief. Not much there.
Big fan of this one - bought at a local sydney craft beer stockist with no background on the brewery or beer and was really pleasantly surprised. Not sure why these guys are not getting more plaudits based on this beer alone and based on the range they seem to have. Niksko (627) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 20, 2014
Will definitely be going back for more of this one and to try the rest of the range. Rating this brewery highly so far
Coca cola brown with a light tan head. Nose is caramel, milk chocolate. Flavor is more milk chocolate, caramel, nutty, slightly thin body. Not too bad. floydian1 (1501) - FNQ, Australia, - JAN 17, 2014
500ml bottle. Opaque dark brown pour with medium-sized tan head and decent lace. I get strong caramel aromas with toasty malts and subtle nuttiness. Flavours are malt driven and sweet but not too sweet with a decent dryish hop balance and a lovely smooth mouthfeel. Very drinkable as suits the style. Recommended. Strong nut flavour, coffee aroma, super smooth, great stuff. Could drink a lot of this.

Tap at déjàvu. Pours a dark brown with a tanned head. Aroma isn't inspiring - hazelnut and almond malt. Taste is way better. Gives a chewy caramel nutty bitterness. Lasts quite nicely. Very malt driven and palate is left coated with hazelnut and brown sugar. Actually really solid

Dark brown with a thin fan head. Wonderful nut aromas. Good malt flavour up front, leading into chewy nuts and a slightly hoppy bitter finish. It straddles that tightrope for well made brown ales of having a richness of flavour without a creamy palate, leaving it highly drinkable. Love a good brown and would like to see more places take them on. vinhol (346) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 16, 2013
500 ml bottle from slow beer no much aroma deep dark brown big malty flavor almost a porter good stuff

Pour is a brooding dark brown. I don’t know if it is subconscious at work but it has a slight nutty smell with some spicy notes. pmuzz (400) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 3, 2013
Flavour is great, initially i thought it was a bit thin, but is quite pleasant. A lot of flavour without being challenging to drink. Lots of malt flavours with a sweet slight plum pudding finish before a balanced bitterness comes in. Delish!
This looked great, however, it was downhill (a regular theme with this brewer) after that. Taste was OK but there was no lasting or lingering flavour.
