Pours super black with honeycomb head. Aroma is sweet malt with hints of what is to come with the coffee. Strong carbonation but the head is dense and fine. Coffee dominates the palate with hints of chocolate. So a mocha then. Sweet malt flavour pops its head up near the finish and the high alcohol is ever present leaving a warm tongue at the finish. Bottle, sample @ RBScSG ’15. Blackish pour with some tan lacings. Notes of roast, booze, dried fruits and some vanilla. ANZUShophunter (496) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 20, 2015
From bottle in porter glass. Pours jet black and this gives brownish hue to the head. Rich malt taste of chocolate and molasses, not a dessert beer, but works well with it! Nisse666 (7706) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 16, 2015

500mL Champagne bottle from Slowbeer
Proper looking dark beer - jet black body, holds dense brown head.
Seriously intense aroma; lots of treacle/molasses/candy sugar thing going on, dark roast coffee, bitter cocoa, licorice & dried fruit/liqueur dessert wine undertones.
Thick oil, viscous texture, low carbonation, warming, once again, liqueur-like.
Big flavours explode on the palate - dark candy sugar, cocoa, black coffee, charred nuts, dried fruits. Big bitterness, warming finish, not particularly sweet - at all really!
Full on stuff - proper after dinner beer - doesn’t sugar coat chocolate/coffee thing. stevoj (5367) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 11, 2015
Wow, smooth and chocolaty. Dark brown with medium airy beige head. Aroma is equal parts chocolate and roast grains. Taste is more so with a little smoke and wood. velvety smooth body, nice subtle bitter finish.
