Pour at Warners at the Bay Beer Festival 2010. Quite basic, a light hop aroma and flavour, but mostly thin and watery. Still beats having a shitty pale lager any day. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 19, 2010
330mL. Another gem from Holgate. Poured a clear straw with a miniscule head leaving no lace. No retention. Aroma is again all butter, old margarine. Maybe a hint of rotting bananas and cooked cherries. Taste is suddy, grassy, bitter, dry. Overall like drinking a pint of old butter. angryrobot (32) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 1, 2010
pale straw yellow, short lasting head. aroma of lager/sulphur , floral hops, with the malt in the background. The pilsner malt come out more in the flavour. A pretty good balance with the hop flavour, though the hops are a bit more subdued than i have had in other "western" pilsners. Finishes dry, although not all that bitter. moderately low carbonation. not bad Maris (1533) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2010
From a 330ml bottle on 8/10/2010 (label says bottled 20/7/2010). Has quite a strong grassy and slightly floral aroma. Has some bready notes and a fair bit of honey in the flavour, and has a decent hoppy finish. A pretty good pilsener which would be quite sessionable. Jade (435) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 20, 2010
Floral, hay aroma. Light golden colour with a minimal white head. Although soft, still a highly hopped flavour. Not too bad.

Bottle - an easy drinking old style pilsner. Citrus aromas and grassy flavours with noticable Saaz hops, but not too much that it overpowers the flavour. Low carbonation makes this beer easy to drink a few in a session. Thylacine (526) - Tasmania, AUSTRALIA - FEB 2, 2010
Bottle - Clear gold. Frothy white head. Low to medium carbonation. Smooth, soft mouth feel. Sweet, slightly citrussy, rich in floral hop flavour, (sazz). A hint of musk. Low to medium bitterness. Very nice! Davros (3212) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 15, 2009
Pale gold pour with a small rapidly fading head.
A fair bit of floral and grassy notes on the aroma (along with a white wine-like hint, alla nelson sauvin style) before the hops gives way to a strong sweet caramel and toffee-apple hit. Nice, but very un-pilsener like!
Flavours include lots of German biscuity malt and finishes a bit grainy. Again, the hops seems to be light and floral rather than spicy and grassy. Too sweet, not enough bitterness. After a while cereal notes start to show too.
Needs more carbonation to cut through the sweetness. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 13, 2009
Bottle. Nice pilsener. Aroma is intense, with banana and vanilla. Sweet flavour, with light bitterness. Medium body, dry finish. Light yellow in colour, head is thin. nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - AUG 22, 2009
Draught at Holgate Brewhouse, Woodend. Pours straw yellow with a thin white head. Malty, citrusy aroma. Nice floral nose. The flavour is doughy malt and fruit. Good bitterness and clean mouthfeel. Crisp refreshing finish. A well crafted pils.
