Beer that tastes of fucking beer, it doesn't taste of pancakes, maple caramel or honey. It tastes of fucking beer and it's good at doing that. sebsky (269) - ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2017

Can from 4-pack. Purchased at local shop.
After drinking all the craft beer in this hot as hell weather, I had to resort to heading down to my local. It has some real ales (unfortunately all the Brewdog has discontinued) but they aren’t refrigerated anymore. My usual go-to’s in this sort of level of stifling heat are Becks and San Miguel (nothing like it tastes in Spain but oh well) but unfortunately neither of those were in the fridge!
Holster for a mass-produced lager is actually not bad. It’s by no means a Pilsener but it does have that placebo of being back in Germany as it has quite a distinct taste compared to the Carlings and Heinekens of this world. Nothing to cry home about, though.
So in summary, if the weather is really hot and you’ve run out of beer, if no craft beer is available this will at least cool you down. samjdix (64) - - DEC 27, 2016
Smells of gas, moderately sweet lager with not a lot to write home about. Not as bad as some but never a drink of choice. jjsint (3436) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2016
275ml bottle from the Med, Cambridge. Light yellow with a little white head. Ammonia and lemon on the aroma with a fair bit of grain. There’s an off saccharin taste at first, followed by a genuinely tasty citrus flavour, then more of the saccharin. Long gluey finish. Sickly. Below average.

Can, pours golden with an amber tint, light sweetcorn and dry grass nose, soft bitterness over sweet malt, slightly watery texture, not actually *bad*, just rather meh - and certainly totally unworthy of being labelled Pils. peponi (1946) - Hannover, GERMANY - MAR 5, 2016
Aroma: corn, malty and herbs.
Appearance: clear golden color and white head.
Taste: very low bitterness, thin malty backbone, DMS, semi-dry.
Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, bitter finish.
Overall: Really poor pils. Towey1989 (3165) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2016
Bottle at The Black Swan, Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, bready malts and subtle grassy hops. Taste of grain, bready malts, slight cardboard and subtle grassy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A short, bready malt bitterness in the finish. A bog standard malty lager, decent body, that’s all. lokis333 (563) - Biržai, LITHUANIA - DEC 28, 2015
Somewhat more solif wheat/gold color with medium white foam. Aromas of malt, green peas, wheat, straw and quite generic. Palate, Lightish body with oily, thin texture and turns into waterish taste quickly leaving mild wheat aftertaste. Taste wise it is bit try and yeasty/malty on the tongue, taste of wheat. Overall, generic nothing special lager (meh).
