August 2017 - Cask, handpull, at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'Holsworthy Tamar Black'. Opaque black, foamy brown head. Aroma is chocolate, ashy, bourbon biscuit. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is chocolate, vanilla with an ashy full flavoured finish. Good stuff. (7-4-7-4-15=3.7)

Cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2017, Kensington Olympia. Really dark ruby, almost black. Sadly a little thin on the mouthfeel. Some sweet fruit, toffee and bread aromas and flavour.

Fra cask på Nowhere Inn 26 Sep 16. Svart. Lavt skum med litt farge. Aroma av røyk & bacon. Smaken det samme. Lett tørr etter hvert. Gjennomgående karamellpreg.

Cask ale, half-pint at Nowhere Inn. Patchy surface, fragile lacing. Close to black in the glass. Roasted dark malty aromas, hints of dark fruits. Chocolate, dark dough and dark fruity flavours followed by a nicely roasted ending. Tasty, easy drinking stout (Plymouth 26.09.2016).

Leighton (22304) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2015
Draft at GBBF 2014 - London. Pours rich black-brown with a creamy tan head. Nice ash and dry chocolate, light roast, burnt toast, earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Torched malts in the finish, with nice overall roast, more chocolate and earth. Good balance. Solid.

2.9
imdownthepub (15326) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2015
Cask conditioned at Leicester Beer Festival ’15. Black with cream head. Quite a fruity beer, surprisingly so but with a tart, sourish edge to it. Plummy notes, heavy palate. Not really to my taste.
