4.5%, deep amber with a thin head, malt aroma, malty hoppy taste, quite good

Joeh (2049) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2011
Old Rating. Bottle. Dark Copper colour with a thin white head. A sweet, malty and fruity bitter with little hopping. Difficult to put more effort in to reviewing such an average beer.

AleManTom (195) - Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2011
As my Dad said, a treacle like flavour. Nutty, woody side to it. Not particularly to my taste but OK.

Aroma of cherries, has quite a warming taste and a dark colour which make it seem quite christmassy

2.7
niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2011
Bottle from Tesco. A malty dark ale, slightly over carbonated. Average but drinkable.

Nutty, woody malt flavours. Toast. A dry treacly flavour too. Little thin for my liking.

Egg4Goff (19) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2011
Bottle at home. OK. Lovely dark brown colour with tan head. Deep roast aroma and a malty flavour. Little evidence of the advertised hoppiness. Full bodied and flat with a long finsh.

2.7
Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 12, 2011
0.5 l bottle from K-Länsiväylä Jyväskylä, thanks hanniku!. Amber color. Sweetish aroma with nuts, resiny hops and orange. Sweetish, nutty, biscuity and mildly hoppy flavor with fruity and resiny hops and some bitterness in finish. Not completely fresh (BB March 2011).

2.7
Bullit (4719) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 16, 2011
Bottle from Morrisons. Aroma of caramel malts, some grass. Flavour is caramel malts, a bit nutty. Not too well.

2.9
tlind2 (1791) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 30, 2010
500 ml bottle. Copper color, off-white head. Vanilla and malt aroma. Bitter flavor with wood, roasted malts and some metallic notes. Dry finish. Light body, medium carbonation. It’s not bad, but it could use some extra body.
