Cask conditioned handpump Goat St Albans 03/08/12. A golden beer with whitish bubbles for a head. Sweet honeyed notes throughout. A bit of caramel toffee note. Certainly sweet but not overpoweringly so. A decent body. It’s OK.

Pint on tap at Norfolk Arms, Glossop. Slight honey nose. Clear still golden beer with small solid white head. Watery mouthfeel, sour taste. Finish is more citric sourness. Maybe some honey right at the very end. Maybe......

Cask by hand-pump at West Kirk, Ayr - golden amber with a slight haze, good creamy off-white head, grain, resin, sour malty aroma, sour, citrus, possibly the end of the barrel, good carbonation, astringent finish

Cask at JDW, Streatham Hill. Pours amber with a white head. Big butterscotch aroma on this. Tastes well past it's prime too - butterscotch along side tart sour notes. Not right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[email protected] brewery centre, burton. Golden amber beer with a large frothy head. Aroma of pale malts. Taste is pale malts, some floral hops and a hint of honey. Not great, dull.

Dark gold/light brown. Faint, vague, fleeting sweet honey aroma. Bland sweetish sour taste. Basically, there’s not much to this beer. Tastes even weaker than 4%. Not really my cup of tea.

Cask on handpump at the Stag & Hounds, Binfield. An attractive bright golden amber colour with a loose translucent head; pleasant pear-drop aroma; pear-drop flavour too with a medium body, some honey, but not too sweet; then a fresh grassy bitterness and a slight sweetening at the end.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours dark gold with a weak foam head. Lightly toasted malt nose with hints of berries. Medium sweet flavor with mild toasted malts, light dry toffee, subtle yet sweet berry fruits. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty sweet to finish with toasty sugars, very light jammy berries, impressions of honey sweetness but not the flavor. A so so golden ale. Pretty enjoyable.
