oobawa (1208) - Tennessee, USA - MAY 28, 2017
Rather weak porter, watery and light with an off-putting metallic undertone. Main characteristic is the roasty backbone, bitter and smoky, yet theres little else going on to play off this base; a yeasty, tangy-cherry middle overwhelms the brew, leaving the finish with a coffee-ish bitterness that seems empty and thin. Not good. No canning date, so judging by the other reviews either this cans old as hell or something has gone horribly awry.

Draught at the brewery. Pours black with a medium, creamy beige head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is roast malt, dates and light earthy hops. Flavor is moderate roast malt, prunes, light earthy and woody hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

On draft. No head. Fairly sweet, but not heavy bodied. Chocolatey. Maybe a touch of diacetyl. Not bad.

kramer (6658) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2017
Clear brown body with a small wispy beige head. The nose is chocolaty with some nutty notes, light hops, and light-roast coffee. The flavor is a bit thin, a little grainy, with chocolate malt and coffee. Light leafy hoppiness on the finish. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Ok brown Porter, maybe a touch thin.

Draft (nitro) - Thick and rich beer, it took forever to pour out of the tap. Cream head which is nice. Pretty mild taste. I tastes cream and is creamy on the palate as well.

Drjohnrock (761) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 8, 2016
Twelve ounce can from Village Maket (Harris Teeters yuppie division), Johns Island, South Carolina, purchased as part of a mixed 6 pack and tasted on July 17,2016. Very dark brown color, strong aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, slick texture, slight astringency, taste like aroma though not nearly as strong and with some artificial character. Drinkable but too bad the taste doesnt live up to the aromas promise.

Bottle, thanks to Misterburd. Pours inky black with spongy beige head, coffee beans aroma, low carbonation, sweetish mocha taste, somewhat thick body, long mocha finish. Very smooth and mellow, satifying.
