opq-bk, thin-tan-head, med-full-body, med-co2.
aroma: dark-chclt-malt, bright-fruit.
fruit add a nice brightness but does not scream pomegranate.
^drinkable, session beer.
Outstanding!!! Has a great pour with virtually no foam. Aroma has various hints of chocolate and dried fruits. Smooth taste with a little bitter after taste, which is most enjoyable. Rrauth (1196) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 6, 2012
This is by far one of my favorite beers. I love the aroma of chocolate and roasted smells. The appearance is Black clear and frothy with the reddish pomegranate showing in the head. I would love to know how to clone this as I would have it all the time. rajendra82 (1078) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - MAY 17, 2015
The pour consisted of an impressive looking, opaque colored, solid black body, topped by a one finger thick head. When held up to a bright light, the body revealed some deep red highlights. The aroma of the beer was just as impressive as the looks, with loads of black coffee, dark chocolate, molasses, toffee, and roast grains hitting the nose with each whiff. The taste was grainy, astringent, and has a backing of burnt sugar. The finish had a molasses like sweetness. The body was touch runny, but the feel was creamy and not disappointing in any way. I could not detect much of a pomegranate presesene in the beer, but still a fine stout as is. scotch4281 (39) - Hollywood, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2008
This beer tasted wood-fired. I was happy to try this beer, especially because I’m a fan of the Golden Ale. I would recommend this beer to anyone who likes stouts, porters, or dark beers in general.

Had on tap at Redlight Redlgiht Very good stout, very smooth, this one will be in the fridge when they start shippnig it in bottles! DocLock (10647) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2008
Pours onyx with 1-finger tan head. Nose is heavy roasty dark malt, fig, prune, dark fruit, cacao. Tastes dark malty, pruny, figgy, with notes of cherry, merlot, oaky bourbon, cacao, and a mild tartnedd. Velvety, smooth palate. Outstanding. discogoatboy (15) - , Florida, USA - JAN 20, 2009
It pours dark with minimal head. Definite roasted flavors with strong dark chocolate overtones. Much more carbonation on the palate than the minimal head would give an indication of. Slight pomegranate taste which is not easily noticeable over the chocolate and coffee overtones. It’s a delicious brew. bryanm18 (48) - Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2012

08 bottle thanks to jayg. Black pour with a short-lived, tan, 1 finger head. Chocolate, sweetened coffee, brown sugar and slight dark fruit aroma. Boozy, fruity chocolate flavor with a slight bitter coffee finish. Oily full body with lots of carbonation.
