Draft: Candi and cherries aroma, HOT. Clear amber, medium head. Overripe orange and cherries, triple sec flavor. Alcohol is annoyingly insistent. The beer tastes juiced with some sort of spirit, mainly triple sec. I really didn’t like it. bockimstein (167) - New Madrid, Missouri, USA - AUG 6, 2011
Pours amber with thick off white head. Hint of citrus, straw, alcohol. Sweet with warm alcohol. Decent attempt at a tripel. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - AUG 2, 2011
Draft at Funky Buddha. Pours a cloudy light amber with an off white head. Scent is sweet fruits, spices and yeasty. Taste is yeasty with a banana notes. Very easy drinking at 10%. TheBeerBaron (261) - Florida, USA - JUL 18, 2011
Pours a hazy gold with an initially big beige head that fades but leaves a decent lace on the glass. A fruity aroma of cantaloupe and tangerine. There is not a spicy aroma more of a general sweetness. Hops does not come to the aroma profile at all. I am sticking with a cantaloupe taste to match the aroma. My taste buds are struggling with the sweetness of this ale. It must be the Belgium rock sugar and even though it is a 10% ABV beer this mackerel lacks the spicy heat a proper trippel has to conquer the sugars. The palate is overly sticky. Its a below average attempt at a difficult art form of a beer. These guys have made better. jjuf1853 (1302) - Land O Lakes, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2011
Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a foamy white head that quickly fades into a thin blanket on top. Aroma is a little sweet with yeast and some fruity notes along a hint of pineapple sponge cake. Flavor is also remniscent of a dessert with a lingering sweet finish and just a bit of sourness.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a very dark murky orange with a sticky white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma is sweet and have some essence of cloves and bubble gum. Flavor is a tad muddled, pick up some banana notes, some lingering yeast, a hint of licorice and a brief citrus twinge. Mouthfeel is decently thick. 12oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a pillowy white head. Champagne like carbonation. Fruity and yeasty with a peppery spiciness that completely covers up any strong alcohol taste that would give away it’s high ABV. thornecb (5920) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 13, 2011
Pours copper into a snifter. White head crackles and recedes leaving spot lacing. Raisin toast and earthy pit fruit aromas. Sweet and cloying with sour alcohol soaked raisin bagel and pumpernickel upfront turning to dusty, cloying leaves in the lasting finish. AR (1000) - Georgia, USA - JUN 10, 2011
Huge head. Spicy yeast flavor with hints of banana, lemon, and a little bit of rust. Not real smooth. Heavy body. blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 23, 2011
bottle poured an amber in color with a thin covering of off white head. aroma has odd spicing, anise, some mint, peppery yeast, and some sweetness. odd combination of stuff so far. mouth feel is a medium and there is low side carbonation. flavor again has mostly spicing and sweetness. even the yeast comes off spiced and the sweetness is just outright sugary. on the plus side the alcohol is very little for the strength of the beer .
