One of the best in this style. Landbier is kind of like a zwickle. Young and impressionable. Light straw color with a medium white head. Slightly acidic, just enough to make this a great thirst quencher. Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 3, 2001
Clean, biscuity malt accent on both the nose and the palate. If you like dortmunders or helles, you'll really enjoy landbier. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - MAR 28, 2004
Light gold color, slightly greenish tint. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied landbier. Malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of breadiness. Hops are crisp, slightly spicy and a touch floral. Nicely balanced. A little sweet and could have used a touch more carbonation, but still a nice tasting, light and crisp beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 29, 2010
Holzhausener Landbier--1999 16.9 oz. Bottle. 5.00% ABV. (3.75 / 5.0) Pilsner? Clear light straw golden color. Light pilsner Saaz front. Body has flavor profile similar to Pils and Oktoberfest, but lighter. Smooth light lager body is tasty with good hoppiness. Spicy clean end. Sampled 11/23/1999. jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - SEP 25, 2006
From a 500 ml. euro brown bottle with a notch freshness date on the back label.
Poured an unfiltered cloudy dull golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing.
Aromas of spicy floral hops, a grain breadiness and a light lemon.
Moderate carbonation and a crisp, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Nice pleasant taste, grainy and sour bready, floral and slight grassy hops that are soft in their bitterness, a sweet lemony emerges towards the end and a dry spicy and malty finish.
Easy, smooth drinkability, not a bad Landbier, quite quaffable.

Bottle looks very simple, but good, the beer in the glass turbid, small head. Starts very moldy and old, a bit sourish. Then more and more malty-floury, mild-hoppy notes. Finish well balanced, a bit yeasty, quite drinkable. Good! Mariusz (12088) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - APR 3, 2015
Pours a hazy yellow color with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, caramel, hops and nutty notes. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2005
Very slightly hazy, pale gold color with a thin cap of a white head, this has a sweet, doughy aroma with hints of grass and a light floral hopping. Lightly carbonated, this is medium-bodied, yet somewhat sticky to drink. The flavor is pretty much that of sweet malts with a slight hop bitterness on the tongue in the finish. pivnizub (10766) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 25, 2008
Bottle (donated by joss !): Pale golden, cloudy, bigger, slowly collapsing loose white head; citrousy-worty nose, mixed with traces of yeast and spicy hops; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering spicy-fruity-hoppy finish. A goody......... FatPhil (16896) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 14, 2010
500ml bottle (One Pint Pub)
6 soft milky aroma, gentle perfume hop.
4 cloudy yellow, small head.
6 lovely almond tang to the body, like a good bock would have, but without any of the punch.
4 refreshing palate, quite full and crisp carbonation. Finish lasts for a while.
12 what a lovely zwickel. crisp, full, soft, tangy, a little bit butter.
