Something not entirely right with this offering IMO. I originally thought it was just the Belgian yeast, but overall it seemed muted, bland and it leaves a funny taste in your mouth.
Not in keeping with the high quality of the other beers - maybe a one off problem.
Tasted 11/4/2016. Draught at Homestead Brewery, Caversham, WA. Poured a mid amber (darked that a pale lager) with a one-finger white foamy head that diminished slowly to a collar that laced well. Carbonation moderate to high with medium sized bubbles. Aroma of semi-sweet malt but no real presence of bitter hops. Taste of semi-sweet malt and very subtle hops bitterness. Light body. Smooth and clean with a slightly dry but inoffensive finish. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 23, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2014 Tap at Homestead. Probably the weakest of the bunch but that’s not to say its weak in any way. It’s got quite a bit of carbonation to make it super sessionable and clean. It’s rather citric with a sweet Belgian yeast backbone and mild spice on the finish. A very clean beer and one which will be super approachable for everyone
