Bottle from Julio’s. Pours Orange gold. Still. Leaves legs. Aroma is honey and a bit of a spice I can’t determine. Smells like Ethiopian Tej. Mild earthquake coffee undertones. Flavor is sweet honey, mild quinine? Mild earthy coffee, a touch of lemony citrus.

Poured a golden yellow from the bottle at house 4 beer with aromas of sweet honey , light earthy roast and some light grounds. Flavors were light sweet sticky honey and earthy light coffee with some bitterness. A nice change of pace from the overly sweet meads and left me wanting more. Abv is hidden well in this one as well so watch out.

Bottle. Cloudy golden yellow pour. Aroma is sweet wildflower honey with just a hint of coffee. Flavour is also light floral honey with just a touch of coffee in the finish. Rich and very tasty.

"haven’t had a mead in a while, so the slightly alcoholic uber sweetness was a bit of a slap in the face, but this is an enjoyable warming libation. coffee is strong in the aroma and flavor. even after getting used to it, it’s almost TOO sweet, but the coffee and honey work well together."

Draft at Edmunds Oast. Still golden pour. Aroma is baked apples, pears, earth and coffee notes. Flavor is medium sweet with apples, honey pears, earthiness and coffee. Moderately dry finish and no real noticeable alcohol. Not bad.

750 ml. bottle, thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours an old gold to amber clear. Aroma is honey, spice, coffee. The taste is honey mead with coffee, I do taste the coffee, interesting. As far as meads go this is good, never had a coffee one before, and it was decent.

poisoneddwarf (2599) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JUN 23, 2013
750 ml corked bottle. Pours still copper. Aroma is vinegar, coffee and that’s about it. Taste is a little rotten; tastes a little like black coffee spiked with fermented honey; raisins come out as it warms. Mouthfeel is syrupy like any mead should be. I’ve had a lot better, that is for certain.
