Saffron-yellow color. The aroma of fig is evident (the leaves, the trunk, the sap), then the honey too; wood, mild incense, smell of souk... Original, very much appreciated. Sweet, quite syrupy; good honey flavor, with a mild nutty touch from the dried figs, and some sweet wood; the acidity is subdued, so the alcohol takes on the task to balance the sweetness.
A different one, peculiar; very good!
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. No head. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are honey, fruits and alcohol. Nice and warming. chrisv10 (18711) - DENMARK - NOV 5, 2011

Oh, yum! Screw beer - gimme mead! Glassy, almost slick. Figs, honey, more honey, more figs, so sweet. A perfect good-night sipper.
Bottle. It has a lighlty oily pour, clear and light golden in color. The aroma is mostly honey, with a distinct fruity and flowery twist I don’t really know if I like or not. Blackcurrant bush is what springs to mind. The flavor too goes in that direction, like a blend of blackcurrant and catpee. I don’t know really like that blend. Medium body, a bit oily and warming. Not bad in any way, but not my kind of mead. 111105

Bottled at The Birch, Norfolk. Pours a clear pale yellow color with no head and no legs. Sweet honey aroma with herbal and citrus notes. The taste is cheesy, herbal with a tart finish. Unique. crossovert (14134) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2015
Clear bottle. This one is a sweet mead, definite notes of fig but for a sweeter one it is nicely drinkable.
