I absolutely love this Mead. Had my first taste of it at the Jealous Monk in Mystic, CT and could not find it locally. Now my local Wine Shop orders it special for me. It is very smooth with a wonderful combination of flavors and a nice honey ending. FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2016
Sampled at Vintage Estate this mead poured a dark tan-brown color. The aroma was vinegar and tea. The flavor was vinegar, honey, tea, mild vague herbs and an earthy presence. Very long vinegar finish. Moderately full bodied. Not good. Travlr (26130) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Bottle. Clear golden yellow color, with legs. Aroma of fresh meadow, Christmas spice. Taste is floral, spiced, mostly dry finish. Very tasty. stangger (619) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 30, 2015
Biting Alcohol aroma with herbal notes. The start is mild, but a followed by a rush of honey, warmth, apple, and just a *touch* of cinammon. Acidic. The fruit and honey linger, as does the glowing, warm feeling. This is actually quite fantastic. Jow (4091) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2014
Bottle at home. I’ve had zymatore versions of this mead but needed to try original for comparison and the south Africa tick. Pours orange with lovely nose of honey and perfume. Tastes of honey but not too sweet, herbal, perfume, red fruit, apples, and boat loads of rooibos tea (which I love). Really drinkable and good mead.

Tasted at Greg’s honey-themed beer gathering, thanks for sharing Vyvvy. It poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour, still, no foam nor lace. Intense, well-blended flavours of flowery honey, apple, cinnamon, hibiscus…HUGE herbal aromas. Medium body and complex mouthfeel, lingering sweet aftertaste. Extremely well-crafted, highly recommended. gregwilsonstl (2665) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Alot going on here. Cinnamon and Apple. Sweet. Honey. Flowery. Tried really cold. Thanks john. phaleslu (10673) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 13, 2014
Draft in a sampler at Ei8ht Ball. Confirmed that this was the Herbal one. Pours a totally clear, piss-pale yellow with no head or lace. There’s definitely some peppery spice in here along with herbs and honey, and there’s a bit of a white grape note, as well. Medium-bodied, with no carbonation and a spicy, sweet mouthfeel that finishes metallic. Weird mead, and not really my thing. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 7, 2014
On tap at Ei8ht Ball. Not sure exactly which variety this is, listed simply under IQHILIKA - spiced mead. Clear golden yellow color, no head or lace. Bigger body. Very light carbonation. Lightly slick but not too sticky. Surprisingly smooth, not as sweet as expected, finishes a little dry. No bite. I think this is the herbal version, seems like a nice herbal character to it, some spice, some odd copper like metallic... It’s like I have blood in my mouth in the aftertaste. Nice honey, apple, herbal and spice notes. Interesting, tasty stuff. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bottle. Sweet spiced balsamic vinegar, star anise, and spiced apple aroma. Clear chestnut. Spiced apple and honey flavor. Medium body, slightly dry finish.
