Vorzüglich. bierkoning (13615) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2004
Just a slightly smoked and malty aroma and flavor. Almost smoked like an Islay malt whisky. Medium to full bodied. Just a touch of peachy fruitiness. Lovely beer, suitable for most beer drinkers taste, but with a "bite" that makes it an interesting beer. MiP (15962) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 5, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2010 Draught at the brewpub. Hazy golden colour. Good yeasty flavour, good malty notes. Satisfying and good. 7 3 7 3 15

Bottle, 4.8% bought at the brewery. Almost clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is very malty, a bit sugary. The aftertaste is nice, tastes like a high alcohol beer, but it must be the hops. 6 3 6 3 13

Bottle, from Vroni’s in Bamberg. Gold, shortlived white head and gentle condition. Pleasant grain and hop in the nose with some trace yeast notes. Sweet malt in the mouth with a touch of toffee and a good delicate hop flavour. Some sweet caramel notes in the finish but well balanced by a decent hop bitterness.

Draught at the brewpub. Deep golden, almost no head. Herbal spicy hops that seem vague at first, but grow to dominate. Medium bodied with low carbonation and notes of cellar and esters. Medium bitterness. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 11, 2009
